High-performance cast iron pipes with zinc coating designed to withstand external stresses due to climate exposures (ultraviolet radiation, saline mist, condensation, freezing-thawing cycles and pollution). SMU S Q+pipes are recommended for applications in coastal areas, directly or indirectly exposed to climatic stresses and/or polluted atmospheres, polluted or confined atmospheres such as cellars, crawl spaces or those which may be exposed to external aggressions during manufacturing processes and condensation. SMU S Q+pipes have remarkable fire protection properties and have exceptional acoustic performances. By their material and design, our SMU S Q+pipes are totally and indefinitely recyclable at the end of their life, without loss of property, our solution perfectly illustrates the principle of circular economy.

Technical infos

  • Hot water resistance: 24h at 95°C. 
  • Thermal cycle resistance: 1500 cycles between 15°C and 93°C. 
  • Chemical resistance for 2 ≤ pH ≤ 12. 
  • Salt spray resistance: more than 1500 h.

Coating description :

  • External coating : Red-brown, anti-corrosive acrylic primer paint, average dry film thickness 40 μm and Zinc 130g/m²
  • Internal coating : Two-component ochre colored epoxy coating, average dry film thickness of 130 μm.
  • Material : Cast-iron made with De Lavaud process
  • Industry product standards : NF EN877, R 592 012-3:2015 and EN 1561
  • Range Fire Classification :
  • Acoustic Performance : Lsc,A < 10 dB(A) & La,A = 47 dB(A) according to EN 14366 with 2 l/s.
